The Vehicle Partnership is committed to helping customers reduce their carbon footprint by offsetting exactly the right amount of CO2 for every vehicle we lease. What's more, all the trees we plant will be in our shared UK woodland. This means the 'local' impact of UK vehicles is being offset in a 'local' environment, which is good news for us and future generations to come.

Responsible Carbon Offsetting

All planting is carried out by a leading Sustainable Forestry Professional using a mix of species that promote wildlife habitat with varied growth/carbon capture rates. And, with Continuous Cover Forestry, we avoid mass clear-felling of trees and minimise carbon emissions from forestry operations.

How much will you have to pay to offset your next lease?

The entire cost of planting and managing each sapling will be borne by The Vehicle Partnership. All you need to do is decide which vehicle you want to drive and leave the rest to us.

Planting the right number of trees for your vehicle

Rather than adopt an 'average' fit, which will only contribute to reducing the impact of your vehicle, we will use the contract term, mileage and CO2 levels to determine the exact number of saplings required.

So, how does it work?

Quite simply, we take the total mileage you plan to cover over the length of your contract and times this by the CO2 emissions for the vehicle. This gives us the estimated tons of CO2 the vehicle is likely to emit. The result tells us how many saplings we need to plant in order to offset the emissions over a 50 year growth. Of course, we recognise that driving style and conditions can all make a difference to the level of CO2 emitted, but we try and be as accurate as we can based on available statistics.

What do I need to do?

All you need to do is decide which vehicle you want to drive and then let us do the rest. We will let you know how many saplings we intend to plant and how we worked it all out. It's as simple as that.
